My name is Carlos A. Gonzalez and it is an honor to be serving as one of the Kindergarten Spanish Immersion teachers at Barksdale Elementary. I have served in CMCSS since 2005 as an ESL (English as a Second Language) educator. I love teaching children! Here is a snip of my professional background, my teaching career began in Puerto Rico back in 1997. I earned my first degree in Education from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-6), as well as a Master's degree in English as a Second Language (PreK-12) from Western Governors’ University.

Clarksville has become our home for the past 18 years to my wife Michelle and my children Carolina and CJ, also our new grandbabies Jaime Julian and Harper Belle. I am looking forward to teach my first language to the amazing children of Barksdale Elementary and celebrate our new accomplishments together!
