Hello and welcome to the Barksdale music room! I grew up in Sturgis, KY, and moved to Clarksville to study at APSU. I received a BS in Music Education in 2000, and an MA.Ed in Educational Leadership in 2003. I have also completed two levels of specialized Orff-Schulwerk training, one level of Kodaly training, and First Steps in Music certification courses at Belmont University. My teaching career began in 2000 in the Metro Nashville Public School system, and I have been with CMCSS since 2003. My husband, Brian, and I have two children, Knox, a senior at CHS, and Lily, a freshman at CHS. My own children were Barksdale Bengals, and I am glad yours are too!
