I am a Clarksville native. I went to Minglewood Elementary, New Providence Middle, and Northwest High. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville (Go Vols!). I have a Master's degree in Educational Practice and Special Education from Lipscomb University. I am currently at Lipscomb again becoming certified in English Language Learning. This will be my fourth year teaching. My first three years, I taught 2nd grade at St. Bethlehem Elementary. Now, I will be teaching 1st grade at Barksdale Elementary, and I am so excited to be teaching a new grade and at a new school. I am passionate about teaching children how to read and I am passionate about ELL students and their families. I have 2 daughters that also are in the Barksdale building, they are in the Spanish Immersion program. They are going to the 4th and 5th grades. I also have an awesome husband. We've been married for 11 years. I am so happy to be a Barksdale Bengal!
