I am a Clarksville native. I went to Minglewood Elementary, New Providence Middle, and Northwest High. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville (Go Vols!). I have a Master's degree in Educational Practice and Special Education from Lipscomb University. I am currently at Lipscomb again to get an Education Specialist degree in English Language Learning. This will be my fifth year teaching. My first three years, I taught 2nd grade at St. Bethlehem Elementary. Last year, I taught 1st grade here at Barksdale Elementary, and this year, I am back in 2nd at Barksdale. I am passionate about teaching children how to read and I am passionate about ELL students and their families. I have 2 daughters that are in the Spanish Immersion program; my oldest is in 6th grade at Richview and the other is in 5th grade at Barksdale as well. I also have an awesome husband. We've been married for 12 years. I am so happy to be a Barksdale Bengal!
